Grant Process

Steps For The Rebates

1- Contact us for an energy evaluation

  • Our team will schedule an EnerGuide home assessment for you, as it is a requirement to qualify for the rebates.

  • We will guide you through the process of submitting your grant applications online and determine your eligibility.

  • We will inform you about the necessary preparations for the evaluation.

3- Energy model of the home
  • Utilizing the data gathered during the on-site assessment, comprehensive reports are generated to estimate your home's present energy consumption.

  • These reports also include a renovation analysis, outlining potential energy savings achievable through specific home retrofit measures.

5- Post-Retrofit Evaluation

  • After the retrofits have been carried out, you can contact us to schedule your final assessment. During this evaluation, we will inspect the implemented retrofits and record the modifications that have been made.

  • Once the post-retrofit assessment is finalized, your updated EnerGuide label will reflect the enhanced energy efficiency of your home, clearly illustrating the improvements that have been achieved.

2 -On-Site evaluation
  • A Certified Energy Advisor will come to your residence, evaluate your home's energy efficiency, and approximate its yearly energy usage.

  • The assessor will examine your mechanical systems, windows, doors, and attic insulation levels.

  • This process will also involve capturing photographs of the residence and conducting a blower door test to gauge the level of airtightness in the home.

4- Implementation of Retrofits

  • At this point, you have the opportunity to select and proceed with the retrofits that align with your priorities.

  • Your decision can be guided by personal preference, a cost-benefit analysis, or by prioritizing the retrofits that have the most significant impact on reducing your home's energy consumption.

6- Request your Grant

  • This represents the concluding phase, during which you upload your documentation to the Canada Greener Homes portal and verify the amount of your grant.

  • You are now able to experience the advantages and cost savings associated with having a more environmentally friendly home.
